🔍 Fiin coordinated testing: Working together to strengthen supply chain assurance
Fiin has just launched its third round of coordinated testing, focusing on illegal dyes and heavy metal adulteration in spices, as well as adulteration of black pepper.
Coordinated testing, funded by fiin, is a key part of how we support our members and help strengthen food integrity across the industry, providing authenticity insights across manufacturing, retail and food service supply chains.
We identify priority commodities through our own data, horizon scanning, and input from members and our Technical Steering Group. Member and independently sourced samples are tested by partner labs, with anonymised results helping us build a clear picture of authenticity risks across the supply chain.
Previous projects include:
🍚 Varietal testing of Basmati rice
🫒 Authenticity of Edible oils
